Originally founded as Jubilee Corporation, Steel Canada’s humble beginnings commensed in 1962 when the father and son team of Pyarali Jassani (Vice President) and Feroz Jassani (President & CEO) came together to realize their dream of starting a family business.
Pyarali and Feroz worked side by side for years, primarily trading secondary steel products in their hometown of Karachi, Pakistan, and eventually across Asia.
After a brief tour of the United States and Canada, Pyarali and Feroz fell in love with the city of Toronto and made the bold decision to close shop in Karachi. They ventured out to Canada in 1982 and rebrand their company to Steel Canada Limited (SCL).
Courage, imagination and vision were the key elements in SCL’s strategy for success and its sustainable growth over the years.
